Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our first appointment will be mostly talking about you, your symptoms, and the factors that are playing a roll, as well as the drivers and the root causes. Ashley will assess the back, hips, abdomen, and pelvic floor if we decide. From that information, we will come up with a game plan together to help you get started with symptom resolution!

  • Anything you are comfortable in! Dresses and skirts might be difficult to exercise in, so consider that for follow up sessions.

  • Yes! Not all pelvic floor physical therapists are the same. Ashley’s assessment will be thorough and comprehensive. She believes that she has not seen any two identical patients, and that every person is unique in their presentation. And there’s been no one that has not improved! I would be honored to be your last pelvic PT, if I couldn’t be your first!

  • Breeze is considered an out-of-network provider. This means that we do not contract with any insurance companies. A large part of the reason Dr. Ashley Murray created Breeze Pelvic Health was due to frustrations with the limitations put on patient care by their insurance companies. This model allows us to decide on a plan of care together, operate on a lower volume with one-on-one appointments, and avoid feeling rushed to meet your goals. We can customize your care, specific to you and your needs. Additionally, most practices will tack on an extra fee for extra services, like dry needling or taping. With Breeze, it’s all included.

  • Breeze charges $215 for the initial evaluation appointment and $195 for follow-ups. However, we are able to give you a superbill! A superbill is a receipt that you can submit to your insurance to receive an out-of-network reimbursement.

  • It depends on what we find and how we need to structure your plan. Most people feel good doing weekly visits initially for about 4 weeks and then decreasing frequency of visits as they progress. Usually I see people for 4-12 visits, depending on the complexity.

  • No! In the state of Florida, you can recieve PT services for 30 days without a referral. If our care goes beyond 30 days, you can contact your provider and have them send a referral to Breeze. There are usually no problems with this, as long as you have established care with your medical doctor prior.

  • Yes! You will be working with Dr. Ashley Murray for every visit.

  • Absolutely! My goal is to set you up with a manageable home plan that feels helpful and good for you. Most of your progress is going to be made between visits!

Breeze uses a software system that comes with an easy-to-use app that you can download on your phone. From this app, you can find your home exercises, as well as other useful things for your care.

I was suffering with pelvic pain for many years didn’t know why. I was embarrassed about it, but about 6 years ago I mentioned it to my gynecologist. That was then the first time I had ever heard that there was physical therapy for this! Since then, I had seen for other pelvic therapists over the years and would see a difference for a little while, but then it was just back to square one again. Several GYN visits later, one of them told me she had nothing else to give me and pretty much said good luck. This was very disheartening and I felt so discouraged. After seeing 3 PTs and several doctors, I met Ashley. She listened to me from day 1, and never made me feel uncomfortable. In fact, she made me feel the most comfortable of any provider I’ve seen. She always went above and beyond- showing me what I needed to do and being right there with me. She also offered to do dry needling with me, and it helped so much! It took a village of specialists to help me, but I have to say I am pain-free! I am seeing improvement every day. I would drive five hours to see her because she really made a difference in my recovery. There is no price on my health when I have been living with this for a long time. She’s well worth the investment. You are not alone!
